The River Guidess and Blue Waters Kayaking present ...

January 28 - February 4, 2007 in Baja, Mexico:
Communion ... through Music, Movement & Meditation,
with Maniko Dru Dadigan

"Maniko took me to places inside myself which had been hidden. She lovingly created the space for me to face some uncomfortable terrain, and through her enthusiasm, clarity, skill and love, I was able to move deeper, bringing more light and aliveness into my voice, my body and my Being. And her singing is divine. Thank you, Maniko!" — Deva Premal, Singer and Recording Artist

“We will enter the music of life by becoming the instrument.  As we discover the music of being human, we will use our amazing capacity to communicate to deepen our connection and awareness and, in the process, awaken the depths of communion. This is, bar none, the most fulfilling of all experiences I have ever known."
— Maniko

The Process

"Silence is the music; it's the space that holds the song ..."

First, we will sit silently and give ourselves over completely to the breath and to listening to all the sounds of life.

Then, we will gently open our bodies to the rhythm of the breath and the tides moving from the inside out, with the same sensitivity as our silent listening, but now we add the kinesthetic sensitivity of touch, feeling the air on our skin, the blood moving in our veins, the earth supporting us, the waves of life in the heart.

Then we add our voices, simply, gently and with effortless sensitivity, relaxing into each new dimension with a loving, feeling, listening and welcoming state of mind. We trust what comes and allow ourselves to be moved by the pure and simple experience of this life, stripped of all "motives, goals or attitudes or judgments"...

And just when the fullness of connection resonates with a natural wholeness, we join together in PrayerSong to unite us with the Universal Heart.

From here, we write our experiences, allowing them to come through on the page, as words. We infuse these words with our love and appreciation, then with rhythm and repetition … until a song is born.

We will each come home with a song that is born of our most intimate experience of being - and we will offer our Hearts to the Whales. We will give them our song and silent attunement, and ask them for their wisdom. Then in listening from the deep silence to their responses - this too will become a new song. And the cycle of connection and communion continues. It is a mystery and a blessing to be lived, as well as a great adventure.

This will be our daily meditation, which takes surprisingly little time, yet will remain with you always, once you get the knack. You will be gently guided, supported and coached, held with respect and encouragement as you find your own way.

Please join me. You will have a priceless treasure from this adventure that will enrich you for the rest of your life.
