Thai Food On The Bay #2: Moonlight Paddle and Thai Dinner
Experience the tranquility and magic of sunset and moon rise on Tomales Bay. On this easy-paced tour we'll watch the day change to night in the company of seals and birds, such as night herons, osprey and kingfishers, who may present themselves as we quietly paddle. Time seems to stand still when the moon casts a mystical glow on the water and our kayaks glide home across the Bay. After paddling we'll go to Thepmonggon Thai restaurant for a fabulous Thai meal. This special four hour event will launch from our Inverness site.
Moonlight Paddle & Thai Dinner*: $99
Dates: see Calendar. Winter Hours: 5pm - 8pm

Oyster
"Do-It Yourself" Tour of Rental
In this economy, it seems that everyone in interested in keeping costs down. Accordingly, we at Blue Waters have developed some absolutely fabulous offerings at unbeatable prices. To start with: Oyster Tours and Rentals from our Inverness location. Many people may not be aware of the fact that Tomales Bay Oyster Company is directly across the bay from our Inverness establishment - a short paddle away, and easily accessible by kayak at tides of 3 feet or greater. TBOC, by the way, is under new management. It was recently purchase by Bernal Brothers Oysters, the owners of the Marshall Store. They have greatly expanded the facilities there, with many new picnic tables and areas for seating. And Bernal Brothers oysters are equal in quality to Hog Island.
This month, on the the weekends of August 1-2, 15-16, and 29-30, you can paddle across from Inverness and enjoy a feast of locally grown oysters, barbecued and raw. You can go guided for $78 per person, 10am - 2pm, or simply rent a double for 4 hours for $80 and go on your own schedule.
