Rent a kayak on your own or with a group of friends or family and paddle along the granite cliffs and forested hills of Tomales Bay. Bring a picnic and enjoy one of the Bay's secluded beaches accessible only from the water.

At Blue Waters Kayaking we have a large assortment of single and double sea kayaks, including closed and open deck kayaks. Included in the rental fee is an introductory kayak lesson and your equipment such as spray skirt, paddle, life vest, pump and paddle float. Open-decked kayak rentals also include a wet suit.

For all rentals CHILDREN must be 5 years old and weigh at least 50 lbs.

OUR RENTAL POLICY:
To reserve a closed-deck (sit-inside) sea kayak, one person in the boat must have completed a Sea Kayaking Basic Skills class (SKB) or equivalent, including capsize recovery and re-entry techniques.

Otherwise closed-deck trips must be guided. Open-deck kayaks are available for rental with no prior training.

Our rental policy for Sit-On-Top DOUBLES is as follows:
TOTAL WEIGHT LIMIT = 350 lbs. OVERNIGHT RENTALS for OPEN DOUBLES must use motorboat support (see motorboat support policies below) OVERNIGHT RENTALS for OPEN SINGLES may go self-supported.

RENTAL CANCELLATION POLICY:
You have until SEVEN DAYS prior to your rental date to cancel or change your reservation.  After that time the reservation is final.  If you do not show or if you cancel within the cancellation period, for any reason, you will be charged the full amount of the rental. In this event you will be issued a gift certificate for the value of the rental, less 20% handling fee. ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN WRITING, preferably via e-mail to info@bwkayak.com. RENTAL LATE RETURN POLICY:
After scheduled return time, your rental rate goes to the next time increment. No Grace Period.

**Note on our Triple: it is set up for two adults and one child, not for three adults. The triple is a closed-deck, so one person in the boat must have SKB training. OUR MOTORBOAT SUPPORT POLICY: Motorboat support is available to transport camping gear and equipment from our MARSHALL site to your campsite at Marshall Beach or Tomales Beach and back. This service makes camping with sit-on-tops, which do not carry as much gear, more doable. It also makes it possible to set up a comfortable base camp with items which are not readily tranportable by kayak, such as tables, chairs, coolers, firewood etc. The fee for this round-trip service is $25 per person to Marshall or Tomales Beach, with a minimum charge of $150 per boatload. Upon request we can try to group small parties together to offset this minimum fee. For beach campsites north of Tomales Beach, a fuel and time surcharge will apply. Drop-off locations and rates: * Marshall Beach, Tomales Beach: $150 per boat load (gear for approximately 6 people) * Pelican Point to Pita Beach (just north of White's Gulch), add $100 per round trip * Pita Beach to Avalis Beach, add additional $100 per round trip. NOTE: One motorboat load usually accomodates 6 campers. One load in volume is approximately 4'w x6.5'l x2.5'h, 65 cu ft, (about a small pickup truck load), and can be up to 600 lbs. in weight. BWK reserves the right to charge extra for loads exceeding these guidelines. A partial load is billed as a full load.
