Drake's Estero Re-Opens July 1!

White Pelicans are commonly seen on Drake's Estero. Watch Video as seen on Bay Area Backroads!
|
Drake's Estero is one of the most stunning places to paddle on the California coast, offering incredible opportunities for wildlife viewing. Led by naturalist guides, you'll glide through the eelgrass and kelp beds of this scenic estuary, home to harbor seals, bat rays, leopard sharks and stop-over for many bird species such as Osprey, Brandt's Geese, White & Brown Pelicans, loons, grebes, cormorants, and, of course, lots of shorebirds. Paddling through this remote, roadless area where "nature rules", you'll forget for a little while that you are still in the SF Bay Area!
To control and minimize wildlife interactions, we limit the number of participants, so reserve early!
These trips launch every other weekend (tidally determined) from Drake's Bay Oyster Company, in the heart of the Point Reyes National Seashore.
4-hour tour, 9 - 1; Cost $88
6-hour tour, 9 - 3; Cost $98
Private tours available upon request.
Call 415-669-2600 and ask for our "Drake's Estero Tour, 08 "
